Two years ago, our office went to “Modernism Week” in Palm Springs, California. The week consisted of open houses, lectures, movies and last but not least a great party. We had a wonderful time.

This year HMH Architecture + Interiors is celebrating our 25th anniversary, and we decided that rather than celebrating our accomplishments we would like to give back to our community and host a Boulder modernism event. We figured why have a “Modernism Week” when we can have a whole “Month of Modern.”

We believe that Boulder (and Colorado in general) has pent up interest in modern design, and there is a thirst for an exchange of ideas. This theory has proven true by the enthusiasm we have received for this inaugural event. While none of us really knows what “Colorado modern” refers to, we all have our own ideas, and this is what makes the topic so interesting.

MoM’s mission is to cultivate a conversation about Colorado modern design, and present the Denver/Boulder region as one of the nation’s most vibrant hubs of modern design.  Over the course of five weeks, we will foster community and conversation with a series of events and social media campaigns designed to bring together the best products, services and thought leaders in Colorado’s modern design community.

We hope that the conversations started here will be a catalyst for future design events and create a better awareness of Colorado modern design and design as a whole.  Please come and join us for what is sure to be one of the most exciting design events of the year!

Sincerely,

Harvey
