Month of Modern has proudly partnered with The Good Future Design Alliance (GFDA) to present a panel discussion, focusing on the world of furnishings. The event will highlight LOCAL manufacturers, local 2nd Hand resources, where to sell/consign, and how to keep furnishings and all-things-interiors from ending up in a landfill. Top designers in the industry will be in attendance–which will be a great networking opportunity!
Discussion will include:
- The context of the waste of the furnishings, fixtures, and textiles as a subset of the footprint of the design and building industry
- Low waste best practices your companies employ in both manufacturing and packaging
- Challenges that need to be addressed
- Ways that adjacent industries can support local furniture, lighting, and textiles businesses and your low waste goals
