A word from our title sponsor Jennifer Egbert of Jennifer Egbert Modern Luxury Real Estate...
Growing up, I always had a fascination with modern design, particularly mid-century modern homes. Many of you know what I’m talking about. The feel, the clean lines, the simplicity…it left a lasting impact that I just couldn’t shake.
Architects like Frank Lloyd Wright drew me in with their commitment to working with nature – and inspired my career very early on. The combination of pulled-back design and paying homage to the surrounding environment captured my imagination. Homes like Passivhaus continue to fuel my passion for clean lines and open spaces.
That’s why I couldn’t be more excited to be the title sponsor for this year’s Month of Modern. With so many people moving to Boulder from all over the world, it’s the perfect time to showcase all of the great talent we have in our state.
Here’s a little taste of what I’m looking forward to this month:
Month of Modern has partnered with Ignite to put on a truly unique event to kick things off. Sponsored by Knoll, some of Boulder’s most creative minds are tasked with presenting what their vision of a “great city” looks like. Presenters have five minutes and 20 slides each to make a convincing argument for what would make Boulder truly great. With the unprecedented growth our town has had since its inception, we’ve seen the area blossom into the special place we know and love today. Now it’s time to look to the future. Tickets are SOLD OUT.
This event is dedicated to a discussion about how technology and innovation are shaping the future of the design industry. With the pace of innovation today, at what point do we stop and thoughtfully consider how useful innovation really is. Maybe it’s time to kick back and take a look at what we have, rather than always looking to the next best thing. The latest trends are all about responsible innovation –this will be a fascinating event to have the opportunity to attend. Tickets are free, but space is limited. Claim yours here.
October 20thSherwin-Williams, will unveil their color trend predictions during Colormix 2016. This annual event is an exciting first look at the trends and ideas that will inform interior design over the next year and we are thrilled to bring it to Boulder for the first time.
